Where do you run from your own mind?
No offense, but let's make 'talking about mental health' the new normal.

Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me?
A decade ago, a little girl woke up drowning — not in water, but in something far quieter, far more invisible. She was covered in wounds. Cuts everywhere. Blood where there shouldn’t have been blood. And one wound, right near her heart, so deep, so wide, it refused to heal.
She tried. God, she tried.
Bandages, again and again. Careful, hopeful, desperate hands pressing them down. But they wouldn’t stay, they kept tearing open.
The strangest part?
No one saw any of it.
Because these weren’t the kind of wounds the world knows how to notice.Depression doesn’t bleed where people can see it. It hides. It smiles. It shows up on time and says “I’m fine.”
But every now and then, it wins.
It drops you to the floor without warning.
Your chest tightens like it’s collapsing in on itself.
Your breath turns into something jagged and desperate.
Your head pounds, your body trembles, your eyes betray you with tears you didn’t ask for.
And somewhere in that chaos, a voice whispers:
When does this end?Why am I like this?
Why can’t I just be normal?
So you hide. Not from the world but from yourself.
You curl up, pull the blanket over your head, and hope silence will save you.
It’s been a decade but the wounds? They’re still there.
I was in depression for a year a decade ago, and since then I suffer from chronic anxiety.
I tried everything — healing, fixing, fighting.Nothing worked.Until one day, something shifted.I stopped trying to erase the wounds and started living with them. Not because I gave up but because I understood something brutal and honest.
Some pain doesn’t leave, it just becomes part of you, and you learn to adapt.
I built routines and exhausted my body just to quiet the mind.
I learnt how to sleep again — slowly, imperfectly.
I stay busy all the time, blasting loud music in my headphones, because stillness or silence feels dangerous.
Because when your own thoughts terrify you, distraction becomes survival.
These voices won't leave me alone. Well, my heart is gold and my hearts are cold.
They say, “Ask for help.”
But no one tells you how hard that is.
No one tells you that even when you do , even when you break and reach out, no one can actually pull you out.
They can sit beside you. They can guide you. They can hold a light.
But they cannot climb inside your mind and fight your battles. That part? That choice to drown or to rise, is only yours. And that’s the cruelest, most empowering truth of all.
So you learn to choose.
Again and again.
Even on days when choosing feels impossible.
Because here’s the thing no one says out loud, the world is full of people carrying invisible wounds.
Your best friend.
Your colleague.
The person you admire the most.
They’re all fighting something you can’t see.
And maybe, just maybe, so are you.
Healing isn’t always about fixing what’s broken. Sometimes, it’s about learning how to live with the cracks without letting them define your end.
You don’t have to be “normal.” You just have to keep choosing to stay.
